When And Where Will The Next CS2 Major Take Place?

The next CS2 Major will be held in Shanghai, China, from November 30 to December 15, 2024. The opening will occur from November 30 to December 3, followed by the qualifying stage from December 5 to 8, and the playoffs will end on December 12 to 15. The initial rounds will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Convention and Exhibition Center, and the final matches will move to the Shanghai East Sports Center. This arena can accommodate up to 18,000 fans.

Who Organizes The CS2 Major in Shanghai?

The Shanghai Major is headed by the Chinese company Perfect World, which is holding its first CS2 Major. Perfect World has teamed up with PGL, an experienced organizer of tournaments such as PGL Major Copenhagen. Together, they have a three-year strategic partnership, under which PGL will provide English-language broadcasting of the event.

Who Will Compete in The CS2 Shanghai Major?

There is only a month left before the start of the competition, but the full lineup of teams has not yet been approved. The qualifying tournament will be the Regional Major Ranking (RMR) in November, which will be held in Shanghai to simplify the process of selecting teams for the final stage.

 • The 24 tickets will be distributed across the regions as follows:

 • Europe: 14 teams (8 will advance to the selection stage)

 • Asia: 3 teams

 • America: 7 teams

Prize Pool And Awards
